The North Texas Municipal Water District has contracted with M and M Irrigation and Illumination to provide residential sprinkler system evaluations at no charge to certain City of Plano water utility account holders with in-ground automatic sprinkler systems. This service is part of a water conservation pilot program to protect future water supply through more efficient water usage.

Who can participate:

Plano residents located in zip codes 75023, 75025, 75074, 75075 are eligible to participate in this pilot program. Residential sprinkler systems located in specified zip codes with one controller and no more than 12 zones are eligible to participate in this pilot program. Commercial sites are currently not eligible for this program. Evaluations may be requested once per 12 months by homeowners or tenants.

How it works:

All requests must be submitted via the form below. If you cannot enter your information into the form, all appointments for the month have been filled. New appointments become available at 8:00 AM on the 20th of each month.

An MMII representative will contact you to schedule an appointment, the first attempt is normally by email. An adult must be present and available to walk the property with the evaluator during the evaluation.

The evaluation report will provide suggested irrigation system repairs, controller settings, and estimated gallons or water saved if you implement all listed recommendations. The irrigation evaluator will not make repairs to your system: if repairs are needed, you are responsible for hiring a licensed irrigator.

Please be aware that the evaluator will share the results of this evaluation with the North Texas Municipal Water District and the city of Plano Sustainability Division. By signing up for an evaluation, you agree to have your water utility share your water consumption data with the North Texas Municipal Water District for no more than 12 months after the evaluation.

Appointments canceled within 24 hours of scheduled time, OR if no adult is present during the evaluation, may make the address ineligible to use the program
